Eduployment & Healthcare Institutions

Eduployment creates a structural inflow of healthcare professionals in Amsterdam, without PNIL, with housing, and with long-term commitment. We combine language training, housing, and employment, connecting international healthcare professionals directly to your organisation.

In doing so, you build stable teams, while others continue to search for solutions.

Structural healthcare staffing for your organisation

In Dutch healthcare, continuity and connection are essential. At the same time, staff shortages, increasing workload, and growing reliance on PNIL and expensive freelancers make it increasingly difficult to maintain stability within your organisation.

In the Amsterdam region, housing shortages further intensify this challenge, making it harder to attract and retain healthcare professionals.

Eduployment offers an efficient and sustainable solution to this challenge.

We connect healthcare organisations with motivated, well-trained international nurses and care professionals, who join your organisation directly after completing an intensive preparation programme.

No intermediaries. No PNIL. Only future colleagues.

Motivated healthcare professionals from Europe

Through partnerships with nursing schools, colleges, and universities across Europe, we have been reaching motivated healthcare graduates for over 20 years. We actively support this inflow by being present in international classrooms and by welcoming educators to the Netherlands. This creates a continuous stream of candidates who consciously choose a future in the Netherlands, and within your organisation.

The professionals we prepare are young, eager to learn, and motivated to commit for the long term. They strengthen your team and help you prepare for increasing care demand and an ageing population.

Healthcare professionals ready to join your organisation

Eduployment is not a staffing agency, but a specialised language school with a focus on healthcare.

We combine four essential conditions for sustainable inflow:

  • Intensive Dutch language training (B1+, above the BIG requirement, focused on healthcare communication)
  • Available and affordable housing in Amsterdam
  • Direct employment with the healthcare organisation (36 hours), after completing the B1+ programme
  • A minimum commitment of two years (in practice approximately 2.5 years)

Our candidates are carefully selected, screened, and prepared for working and living in the Netherlands. This allows them to integrate more quickly and remain employable for the long term.

→ Structural alternative to agency staff  → Focused on permanent colleagues

From language programme to permanent colleague

After completing the programme (on average 8 months full-time or 18 months part-time), candidates start directly within your organisation on a regular employment contract.  This leads to:

  • Continuity within your team
  • Reduced dependency on external staff
  • Lower long-term staffing costs

You invest in training and gain a committed employee who wants to stay with your organisation for the long term.  In this way, you are investing in your team, not in temporary capacity.

Housing through Eduployment

One of the main challenges in attracting healthcare professionals is housing, especially in the Amsterdam region. Without housing, inflow comes to a standstill.

Eduployment solves this for you, taking the entire process off your hands.

We offer:

  • Affordable, fully furnished studios
  • Available upon arrival
  • Rental agreements in the employee’s name

This accelerates onboarding, reduces drop-off, and strengthens your position as an employer. In the current market, housing is not an additional service, but a condition for attracting and retaining healthcare professionals.

A sustainable and financially attractive choice

With Eduployment, you choose a structural inflow channel rather than a temporary solution. The investment in language training and onboarding is typically recovered within 11 to 12 months. Without language training, this period is shorter.

Compared to agency staff and freelancers:

  • You reduce costs in the long term
  • You increase engagement within your team
  • You create stability in your workforce

You are not only solving a capacity challenge, but also building a future-proof team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eduployment is not a staffing agency, but a highly efficient alternative to agency staff. We combine language training, housing, and direct employment. This leads to lower costs, reduced dependency on temporary staff, and employees who stay.

Eduployment addresses one of the main barriers to recruitment in Amsterdam: housing. We offer affordable, furnished studios that are available upon arrival. Rental agreements are in the employee’s name, which provides stability and supports a smooth start. This enables nurses to begin working and remain in their roles, something that is not always possible otherwise.

Preparing a nurse for work in the Netherlands typically takes:

  • 8 months (full-time programme)
  • 18 months (part-time programme)

In some cases, nurses who have already completed part of their language training or are further in their preparation can start earlier. After successfully completing the programme, healthcare professionals join your organisation directly.

Eduployment selects healthcare professionals who meet the following criteria:

  • EU-trained nurses with a recognised bachelor’s degree
  • Vocationally trained care professionals (equivalent to Dutch VIG level)
  • Non-EU nurses with a recognised equivalent bachelor’s degree and valid work and residence permits

All candidates achieve at least B1++ Dutch (BIG requirement) and are prepared for working in the Netherlands.

International healthcare professionals commit to a minimum of two years of employment, starting from registration in the BIG or V&VN register. In practice, this is approximately 2.5 years, often longer as they build their future in the Netherlands. This ensures stability and continuity within your team.

Eduployment follows a rigorous selection and preparation process. Candidates are carefully screened and guided through a mandatory language programme, during which they are continuously assessed by an independent examination body. Only candidates who meet all requirements are placed with healthcare organisations. This ensures a strong match and long-term employability.
