The Eduployment Programme

CV-Boosting for Bachelor Nurses

Build Your Nursing Career in the Netherlands

If you are an EEA-resident and already have your nursing degree, this programme is meant for you. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions after reading this information.

You must have heard about the hospitality and the open-hearted vibe of the Netherlands?

Are you a bachelor-level nurse, or almost graduated, and ready to take your next step in European healthcare? Now is the time.

With Eduployment’s CV-Boosting Programme, you’ll launch your career in Dutch healthcare with direct employment at a healthcare institution, strong guidance, and loads of development opportunities. You’ll gain valuable international experience, expand your professional skills in nursing, and build a life in one of the world’s most respected healthcare systems. And best of all: you won’t be alone on this journey.

From Nurse to Specialist – Grow in the Netherlands

You’ve earned your degree in nursing. Now it’s time to use it, and grow beyond it. In the Netherlands, your (EU) bachelor diploma is immediately recognised, opening doors to career opportunities from the very beginning.

Through Eduployment, you’ll work with trusted healthcare institutions who value your skills and invest in your development. Whether you want to continue working as a general nurse or eventually specialise, in cardiology, intensive care, neurology, or acute care, the opportunity is there. Your employer funds your training, and study time is counted as paid work hours.

Dutch Language Training – Practice-Focused and Sponsored

Quality care begins with clear communication. That’s why our language programme is designed especially for nurses, not tourists or general learners.

You’ll start with intensive online Dutch language training in your home country, tailored to the healthcare setting. Together, we’ll guide you to B1+ proficiency, with a focus on patient interaction, professional teamwork, and medical language. The training prepares you for the Dutch State Exam (NT2 – Programme I), the required level for BIG (Dutch Healthcare Professionals Register) registration.

The course is fully sponsored by your future employer. You only pay for some study materials, like digital textbooks, and a small refundable deposit to show your commitment. Once you passed the language training and have fulfilled the commitment period in the Netherlands, the deposit is returned to you.

A Fair Agreement

The programme is sponsored by your future employer. This includes the language training, support from Eduployment, and subsidised housing. In return, you agree to work with your employer for a minimum of two years. After that, you can stay, move on, or return home. Whatever you choose, we remain by your side.

Your Own Place – A Safe, secure and Comfortable Start

Moving abroad should come with a soft and secure landing. That’s why your new life starts with your own fully furnished studio apartment, partially subsidised by your employer. No roommates, no shared bathrooms, just a place of your own to relax, recharge, and feel at home.

Direct Employment – Security from Day One

With Eduployment, there’s no agency, no middlemen, no risk. You are directly employed by a reputable Dutch healthcare organisation under a clear and fair labour agreement (CAO VVT). You work a maximum of 36 hours per week and benefit from a stable salary, pension contributions, paid holidays, and shift allowances.

Your employer becomes your team, not just a contract. And Eduployment stays involved with you every step of the way.

Salary & Benefits – Clarity, Security, and Growth

As a full-time nurse (36 hours/week), you’ll earn between €47,600 and €64,000 gross per year, depending on your experience. On top of that, you’ll receive:

  • Shift allowances (evenings/weekends/holidays)
  • 8% holiday pay
  • 8.33% year-end bonus
  • Paid vacation – up to 33 days annually
  • Employer-paid courses and training
  • Pension contributions via PFZW (your employer pays 2/3)
  • And more!

This is just the start. As you grow, your salary and responsibilities grow with you.

10 Steps to Becoming a Nurse in the Netherlands

Send us your CV and motivation letter. After screening, we’ll invite you for a series of video interviews to explore your goals and match.

In three personal interviews, we’ll discuss the programme in depth, assess your motivation, and answer all your questions. If we’re both excited, we’ll match you with a future employer.

Once the green light is given, you start your sponsored Dutch course full-time or part-time, online, from your home. We support you at every step, and your study coach is your steady point of contact.

You’ll receive targeted preparation for the Dutch State Exam B1, including exam training and coaching. We schedule your exam before departure, so you’re fully ready.

We pick you up at the airport and take you to your private studio. You arrive ready and supported.

We help you with municipality registration and BSN, a Dutch phone number, health insurance, and (if needed) a bank account. You’ll get the support you need from day one.

We join you to visit your workplace, meet your colleagues, discuss your schedule, and sign your employment contract. Everything is clear, and your new team is ready to welcome you.

You begin as a Verzorgende IG (Care Assistant) while preparing for full registration. You’ll receive plenty of support and coaching as you adapt to Dutch healthcare.

After passing your Dutch State Exam, we assist you in completing your BIG registration, the official recognition of your nursing qualifications in the Netherlands.

Once you’re ready, your employer supports your further specialisation. You continue learning, growing, and advancing in your profession, with Dutch healthcare as your launchpad.

Your Commitment – A Fair Deal

Your future employer fully sponsors your language training, coaching, and housing support. In return, they ask for a two-year commitment as a nurse after you complete your BIG registration. This is a fair and transparent exchange, and a great way to build a career in a system that values quality and people.

Want to talk to us personally?

We’d love to hear from you. Whether you have questions about our programmes, language training, housing, or registration, we’re here to help.

At Eduployment, we believe that personal support makes all the difference. That’s why we take the time to listen, guide, and give you clear answers, so you can take your next step with confidence.

Real stories from our students

Ana Munaiz

“I think Eduployment is a good option for people who don’t know the language and want to live and work in the Netherlands. Because it has an online course with flexibility that adapts to individual rhythms. It also offers accommodation, depending on the city it can be a big challenge to find something on your own. In short, Eduployment gives the boost to start your life in a new country.”

Sylvia Agarici

If you’re a nurse looking for a seamless move to the Netherlands, Eduployment is your ultimate partner! From day one, they were by my side—starting with my very first Dutch lesson, guiding me through the BIG registration process, and even helping me secure my own apartment in the Netherlands. Moving abroad can be overwhelming, but with Eduployment’s support every step of the way, the transition felt smooth and stress-free. Their team made what seemed daunting into an exciting journey!”

Matthias Christen

“The teachers and management of Eduployment were always available to answer questions. I had some difficulties feeling at home in the Netherlands. The aftercare offered by Eduployment made this a lot easier. They guided me throughout my whole two-year contract.”

Tonia Karapidaki

“It is pleasant that Eduployment supports me still. We recently moved into a very nice apartment. Eduployment was there to help us move. Someone even came by with a screw driver to help us assemble some cabinets, and a pipe wrench to connect the washing machine.”

Altea Koutsiouki

“The collaboration with Εduployment started about two years ago. Within a year I was able to speak and understand Dutch at a good level. After arriving in the Netherlands, the challenges I faced were many, but step by step and with patience, I can proudly say that one year later I have managed to achieve many of my goals and, most importantly, I have slowly gained the confidence I needed to grow professionally! During this time, Εduploymet supported me every time I needed it. Here’s to what’s to come next!”

Inês Ramos

“Dutch is a bit difficult at first, but it is possible! You have to focus on it. Learning Dutch should be your job; you should spend a lot of time learning a new language. I’m glad I decided to learn Dutch with Eduployment.”

Asta Kuodiene

“I was among the first group to be trained by Eduployment. We received excellent guidance and were able to make a good start with our Dutch employer. Some of my colleagues are still working there. I always wanted to work in forensic psychiatry. Thanks to my good knowledge of Dutch, help from Eduployment and the start in the Dutch nursing home, I succeeded.”

Ágnes Hajas

“I really like this job, because here every day is a challenge and that’s what I like. After I started, I passed the national knowledge test for triage assistant within five weeks. My audits are good and, in the meantime, I have also obtained my diploma. I am very satisfied with what I have achieved. The free language course from Eduployment was a very good investment!”

Alberto Soto

“The support of Eduployment was much needed, because we had no idea about the Dutch system. This support meant a lot to me, because most procedures require several steps that are difficult to solve on your own. Furthermore, the Eduployment team visited us a lot in the beginning to talk to us about how things were going and if we had any questions. That is very nice.”

Eglė Skersienė

“Eduployment has helped me get through this period very well, by offering lots of practical help, personal support and a solid track. Also, my colleagues who entered this programme with me in 2003 have meant a lot to me and we still keep in touch.”
