Nursing positions - The Eduployment Program

Some EU countries experience a serious deficit of good nurses, like in the Netherlands. That’s why Pleyade offers foreign healthcare professionals various nursing positions in nursing homes, generic and psychiatric hospitals or private clinics. For whatever job you might want to apply, we’ll guarantee a competitive salary and plenty of spare time to discover the Netherlands.

We only expect you to do your job as a nurse in the best way you can, which is only possible if you’re able to communicate in Dutch (to a certain degree) so you can understand our client’s needs. That’s why we have developed and implemented ‘The Eduployment Program’: an educational program in which you’ll be prepared to work as a healthcare professional in all sorts of nursing positions.

The program provides you with all the knowledge and tools needed to start a fruitful career as a nurse. Interested? Read all about the Eduployment Program or scroll down for a compact summary of what to expect.

The Eduployment Program in short

The program is meant for EU certified nurses and nursing students alike. However, the route to be followed is slightly different, whereas nursing students have to do an internship for a few months longer. Beforehand, both groups will follow an introductory course in basic Dutch language which is given in your own country of origin.

Upon completing the first course, you’ll be invited to the Netherlands for an internship of 3 or 6 months, depending on whether you’re a certified nurse or student. During this period you’ll get to know our client’s and your future colleagues, as well as the customs in Dutch healthcare. We try to make it as comforting as possible, by arranging free housing and free meals on internship days.

After your internship, you’ll decide whether working at one of Pleyade’s nursing positions suits you. When it does, you continue to improve your Dutch language skills even more during another course until you’ve reached a certain level which is required to pass the state exam that’ll grant you an official Dutch nurse registration.

After obtaining the registration, you’ll be able to apply to numerous nursing positions. But it doesn’t stop after you’ve found yourself working at your dream job. At Pleyade we think personal growth is important, so we’ll continue to offer you possibilities to further grow into your role or for specializing in one or more different disciplines of nursing.

What’s in it for you?

When applying for the Eduployment Program, you are investing valuable time and effort into working at one of our nursing positions in our organization. In return, we take care of the rest. Amongst other things, we offer you:
