Since in the Netherlands good caretaking professionals are scarce, Pleyade is always looking for nurses capable of working in various institutions such as nursing homes, private clinics or hospitals. Whether you are a nursing student or an already certified nurse, we have multiple interesting and rewarding positions available.

But before you can apply for your dream job, you have to follow our unique educational program called the Eduployment Program. It’s an intensive but fruitful program, which prepares you for a successful career in Dutch healthcare in the best way possible. With it you’ll be able to carry out your work as a professional caretaker in the Netherlands nearly perfectly.

A brief summary of the educational program

The Eduployment Program is designed for both nursing students and certified professionals residing in the EU.
It features an introductory language course, which is free and given in your own home country.

For Erasmus students

After learning the basics of the Dutch language, you’ll be invited for a paid internship at Pleyade in the Netherlands so you can get accustomed with our guidelines and meet your future colleagues and clients.

During the internship you’ll have time to decide whether working in the Netherlands, specifically at Pleyade, suits you.
To make the internship extra attractive you get free housing and a hot meal on internship days. On top of that, for the students who decide to come back, there are  even more extras such as contribution to the compulsory Erasmus insurance, the medical examination and your flight ticket. And of course many opportunities to discover the Netherlands with your friends.

When it does, you’ll advance into another course in which you’ll master the Dutch language even better and where the Dutch healthcare protocols are further explained. Upon completion, you’ll have all the tools, experience and knowledge needed to pass the state exam which is mandatory for working as a nurse in Holland.

For bachelor nurses

The bachelor nurses program is very similar to the Erasmus program. After learning the basics of the Dutch language also a period in the Netherlands. But now a well-paid introduction period to get acquainted with living and working in the Netherlands, just like the Erasmus students. You are not allowed to work as a nurse yet, but you work with your team as a care worker.

 You will also receive a discount on the rental of your house. Your net salary for 5 months of work is around € 6,000. Of this you have already paid the rent for your home.

At the end of the introduction period  you will continue with the Dutch language course. In addition to general Dutch, you also receive professional language. And here too you get all the tools to successfully take the Dutch state exam ‘Dutch for speakers of other languages level B1, so that you can register as a nurse in the Netherlands

After obtaining the registration, you can start looking for nurses’ positions that you love, apply and start working your dream job. However, it doesn’t stop there. We continue to offer you possibilities to develop additional skills, to specialize in one or more different disciplines or to grow into other interesting roles.

  • a free beginner’s course with an introductory period in which you get paid
  • a free follow-up program to get your language skills to the required level of a professional nurse
  • help during all periods of your study
  • contribution to housing expenses during your language training (if the course is outside your place of residence)
  • competitive salaries with extra payments for working irregular hours, overtime and on Sundays and public holidays
  • a continuous development program for personal and professional growth
  • and an introduction to other healthcare institutions after two years (if you think it is time for a career switch)
